Edward E. Dodson, MD, President
Associate Professor of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery

Dr. Dodson attended the University of Virginia School of Medicine, graduating in 1989. He then completed his training in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia Health Sciences center, and also completed a fellowship in Otology/Neurotology there in 1996. He has been a member of the Ohio State faculty since 1996 and specializes in adult and pediatric chronic ear disease, congenital ear deformities, cochlear implants, skull base surgery, and surgery for hearing loss related to otosclerosis.

Paul R. Lambert, MD, Vice-President

Dr. Lambert attended the Duke University School of Medicine, graduating in 1976. He then completed his training in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at UCLA, and also completed a fellowship in Otology/Neurotology at the Otologic Medical Group & House Ear Institute in 1982. He joined the University of Virginia faculty that same year and rose to level of Professor and Vice-Chairman during his tenure there. In 1999 he was appointed Professor and Chairman at MUSC, and his department has grown and become well recognized under his guidance. Dr. Lambert specializes in adult and pediatric chronic ear disease, congenital ear deformities, cochlear implants, skull base surgery, and surgery for hearing loss related to otosclerosis.

Laura Garish, AuD, Treasurer

Dr Garish attended The Ohio State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science in 1992. She continued her education at The University of Akron where she obtained her master’s degree in Audiology in 1994. She joined the Ohio State University Medical Center Department of Otolaryngology, audiology division in 1997. Laura completed her clinical doctorate degree in Audiology in May of 2001 at the University of Florida. Her interests include diagnostic audiology, hearing aid dispensing and rehabilitation.

Gretchen Waggoner, AuD, Secretary

Dr. Waggoner earned her bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from Ohio University in 1994 and her master’s degree in Audiology from Bowling Green State University in 1996. She holds a Doctor of Audiology degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences earned in 2006. Dr. Waggoner’s interests include diagnostic audiology, hearing aid dispensing, and rehabilitation.
